Ever wanted to record your speaker output? (loopback) This is for you. What are some alternatives? When comparing Loopback by RogueAmoeba and Sound Siphon, you can also consider the following products Looks like it is part of audio capture software. What the hell is this and why is it taking up so much of my CPU? Yes, but you’d probably be better off with MainStage because it’s designed for live performance and loopback for the audio routing.

You can create a virtual Mic Device, and then can route audio from other applications to it.Ĭan you use Logic Pro as a live voice modification, in other words, can you use an audio track as a microphone?

Loopback from Rogue Amoeba may do what you want: So now I can trick OBS into thinking I'm connecting 3 different devices - one for each audio channel I'm bringing in. No doubt, there are Windows/Linux alternatives. So I had to create 3x virtual inputs using Loopback (I'm on a Mac). OBS seems to only work in stereo or surround - not multiple mono mic inputs. I just read the SP-404 mk2 manual and I have a question On Mac, I used to use Soundflower but I think LoopBack is what the cool kids use now. I might not get my issue solved but at least we can help each other figure this stuff out. You'll need an app that can make "virtual audio cables" to route sound between apps. Or let me know if you have questions about using OBS, Audio Hijack, or any other streaming on a Mac issues. Hopefully someone can chime in in the comments below with some suggestions. If anyone at Wirecast wants to talk sponsorship ideas, I'm all ears! :) But it's $495USD (almost $700CAD) and this is a hobby for fun.

I just can't get their audio to be piped through to OBS and out to Twitch/YouTube. The audio call works fine and I can hear them, they can hear me. I seem to have gotten the first 3 items working ok - it's just when I add in an audio call with someone that it breaks down.

If you check out my Twitch channel, you should be able to see a few videos there showing what I mean.

I've been trying to figure out how to stream video/audio to Twitch or YouTube using a piece of software called OBS - short for Open Broadcaster Software.
